Fun in the Sun!

After more than a week with below-freezing temps, we were all so excited to see that this week's forecast brought only sunshine and 70's.  And it arrived JUST in time for the weekend.  What better way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon than outside enjoying the warm sunshine!

Lexie, you took this time to practice your driving skills.

Watch where you're going, kiddo!

Yes, you have multiple vehicles...and play with them both equally!

Great weather like this is PERFECT for doing all your favorite outdoor activities, like running......

And walks with Daddy...

And sliding!

Peek-a-boo fun!

"Ey...Mama...'atch dis!"

Cheese :-)

"You ready?"

"I ready!"

"Weeeeeee!"

According to King Julian (Madagascar) it's "more fun when you put your arms in the arm, like this!"

We agree...BIG fun :-)

"Woah, Mama!"
This my favorite saying of yours right now...especially since you seem to use it the most (and most emphatically) while I'm driving.

My new facebook profile pic....I just love it, you look so sweet and so happy.

That was so much fun, I think I'll do it again.

Of course, we can't go outside without giving some love to our boys.  Lexie, you are so in love with these dogs, it's hilarious to watch you with them.   I was amazed this weekend as you named each of them correctly as they came up to you and you petted them ever so softly.  And I love your pronounciations for "Doot" (Duke), "To-ta" ( Koda) and Wil-di (Riley).

You have self-proclaimed that Riley is your favorite, which is completely understandable as he is the sweetest and most gentle of the three.

Of course, you can't help but love Duke.

You two had SUCH fun in the back of Daddy's four wheeler.

You would give Duke the biggest, sweetest hugs and say "My Doot!"

I adore this picture....look how the two of you are looking at each other with the EXACT same "what do you think you're doing?" expression on your faces.  Too funny :-)

Hannah Kate Spring Show - Lexie the future fashion designer?

We just wrapped up a CRAZY week of trunk shows here in our little world!  Our trunks - which are actually 2 HUGE, 51+ lb bags and one big box arrived on Thursday.  And because of the freezing temps, we were off of work and school both Thursday and Friday - which gave us lots of time to plan and play dress up.  Lexie, you were such the little ham, and really got involved in the whole process.  And in a way that was almost scary!  You really loved trying the items on and modeling for the camera - and even more you loved picking out your favorites, and having all our guest "c'see" the clothes you liked best.

I had so much fun with you over this weekend, such a great mother-daughter bonding time!  And I'm sooo excited about all the new clothes you'll have arriving in about 12 weeks...yes, I know, the waiting is the hardest part!  I will say it was hard trying on summer clothes with outside temps in the 20's, but we made the best of it.  And this week looks to be the start of what will hopefully be a beautiful spring.  So bring on the sunshine, bring on the higher temps (70's, please) and let's have some fun :-)

I love this dress...have since the minute it previewed, you got this as is, but in a smaller size (you are so petite that this size 2 was too big for you!)

You were sooo funny in this outfit!

RaRa said it made you happy because it was purple (as she LOVES purple!)

I totally loved this bubble...and this flower.  But not together.  If you were bigger, I would have done the flower on a swing top, but for now we're sticking with a bubble and sweet monogram.

Can you say "VOGUE"?

You cracked me up in this ensemble.

Because you wouldn't stop making monkey noises!

Yes, you're the cutest little monkey I know.

This was one of your two favorites - you got this one as is.  Cousin Kate has a twin version, with a slightly different pant.  Aunt Amy and I are already discussing when we can visit for a zoo trip!

Ah...this was my FAVORITE top of the season.  This just says "summer" to me!

Completely in love, so much that you got 4 of them!

I wanted to see this style, but the sample was a 3....a little too big!  But you found that funny!

This bubble was so sweet, but we ended up passing.

Another sweet style we loved - we did this in a fun pink/brown combo with floral top and polka dot capris.  Very excited for this one!

Did I mention there were ALOT of clothes?  So much that Daddy was awesome enough to buy and put together a clothing rack for me to display them all!

LOTS of clothes :-)

You were so cute looking through the clothes.

These ducks "quack, quacks" were your other favorite.  I wasn't the biggest fan of them, but you loved them so much I couldn't pass it up.

I do not know why but lately you have had been "playing" with this paci...it's strange to me because you have never taken one.

Wow...this size 2 was WAY too big for Mon Petite!

We make modeling fun by playing with our supplies - you had fun with the clothes rack box.

It was funny to push it against the door and have it fall on you!

Awwww!

Remember how I said you were involved?  You really were!  Look at the concentration on that sweet face as you study the available pattern styles :-)

This cracks me up!  The "hmmmm" pose.

I was looking around the room, pen and paper in hand, trying to design an outfit when I casually made this exact same pose. Without missing a beat, you duplicated....and continued to do it that night (and every day since!)

Browsing through the available fabrics.

Shopping the "racks" from the chandelier.

This is a SERIOUS "hmmm" face - note: two fingers to accentuate the concentration level!

This top...the one you got 4 of ...it's even cuter when you add knee bloomers!

Oh, how I loved this dress, even though it COMPLETELY isn't my style.  It's obviously too big, despite being a size 2.

You were super comfy in this knit dress...hoping to snag it during hostess sample sales!

Oh, my love!

You are gorgeous in blue and white.

I so wish I could have ordered this for you, but I'm afraid you are too "big girl" for the sunsuit now :-(  And so, it begins....

Did you think I was kidding about you being involved?  These pics are all completely natural and all taken throughout the course of 4 days...each day you went and looked at everything and studied the boards, it was so fun!

Or about the monkey's being your favorite...here are you picking it out again!

I enjoyed having these 4 days to share with you and have some good "girlie" fun.  I love that you are completely and utterly ALL girl.  In fact, it's YOU that refuses to go without a bow and asks for lipstick or a squirt of perfume each morning.

I adore you, Lexie Lynn....my sweet baby girl!
