Lexie, this Saturday you got to spend some time with you great grandmother, MawMaw Kodrin. She loves you so much and I can tell you love her too. I love how you called her "Maaaawww-Maaaawwww" in the same exaggerated way you address your PawPaw that makes me smile every time you say it. I know it made her day to be able to spend time with you. You were so sweet to sit for pictures with her before we left to head back home. You immediately gave her sugars, and I was unprepared for it because it happened so quickly! But after some persuading, we were able to recreate the sweetness!
I'm so glad you have the opportunity to know your great-grandmother. She is very special to your Mama. She and your great-grandpa Kodrin practically raised me when I was a little girl....I spent so much time at their house: playing, watching TV, swimming, fishing, camping and just having fun. I wish so badly you could have known my PawPaw, oh how you would have loved him and how he would have doted on you!
A funny thing I discovered during our visit with MawMaw on Saturday....you two share a love for the same foods: Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, Strawberry Cheesecake Jello Desserts, and DOUBLE-STUFFED Golden Oreos. I commented to MawMaw that you were slightly unimpressed with the fact that Daddy purchased the regular-stuffed variety during his last trip to the grocery store, to which she replied "Well, once you've had the double stuffed, there's no way you go back!"
